Where I work has 4700 scientists and engineers,
but it has only less than a dozen of bikes out in
the parking lot. So you can see riding a bike is
a little bit out of norm. This is a rural area.
Traffic is not a problem here. You don't hit a
stop sign or a traffic light that often. Riding a
bike is ideal here. Right now, I leave my helmet and
glove on the bike and walk into the building. Only my
jacket looks suspicious. My wall paper on my PC
also gives away the secrete. Except those I told,
no one noticed that I am riding a bike to work.
I really don't care the perception problem.
My sons and my wife are very supportive
on this issue. They think dad is doing great.
